The controversial dragon has returned after its brief life of only two weeks of Season 12, with many changes made to make it more accustomed to the game.

The LoL Preseason 2023 patch notes have been revealed, and one of the biggest changes will come to items. Sure, the jungle is going to be updated, and we're getting a new champion as well, but these item changes are huge. Some of our favorite older items are coming back in 2023 and other items are going to be updated to hopefully give certain champions more of a chance, especially in the top lane. So let's go over each and every new, updated and old item from the lol accounts .

When Does Preseason 2023 For League Of Legends Start?

The League preseason is officially set to begin on 16th November with the release of patch 12.22, just a few days from today. As is the norm, preseason 2023 is expected to last for three months in which time Riot will fix and fine tune the proposed changes. Players can use this opportunity to get a feel of the jungle changes, figure out the improved ping system and adjust to the Exp and Gold changes before getting into ranked.

As season 12 comes to a close, players who ranked gold and above can expect their ranked rewards, including the Victorious Sejuani skin to be credited to their account. This season Riot will also be giving out the Three Honors Malzahar reward skin to players who reach Honor level 5 by the end of the season regardless of what rank you achieve.

The Return of Chemtech Drake

Casting away the bugs of its former self, the return of Chemtech Drake promises to bring fresh experiences. When the Drake is slain:

It gives +5% Tenacity and Healing/Shielding.

Its Soul offers bonus damage, and damage taken is reduced when your health is less than 50%.

Blast Cones' range will be doubled.

In addition to its healing effect, Honey Fruits will now give you a shield instead of slowing you.

Scryer's Bloom will brighten a circular and a cone area in the opposite direction of where it was hit. Movement speed is increased towards the exposed enemy. Wards revealed are reduced to 1 health.

Return of Chemtech Dragon

The controversial dragon has returned after its brief life of only two weeks of Season 12, with many changes made to make it more accustomed to the game. The Chemtech Dragon buff now gives % tenacity and healing+shielding. Chemtech Map now mutates the in-game plants: blast cones, honey fruits and scryer bloom’s.

Last but not least, the Chemtech Drake ancient buff gives 10% damage resistance and 10% more damage while below 50% health. A strong effect along with tenacity + shielding buffs of the stacking buff

Chemtech Rift

The Chemtech Rift has also been reworked, and instead of the Chemtech gas materializing on the surface of the Rift, it instead seeped under and mutated the jungle plants.

Honeyfruits turn into Stim Fruits, which will no longer slow champions that consume it and provides a shield on top of the usual heal.

Blast Cones will now blast units inside its range twice as far when exploded

Scryer’s Bloom turn into Firelight’s Bloom, revealing a small area around the plant in addition to the usual cone. Allies tagged will gain movement speed towards the direction of the cone, and enemy wards revealed will be reduced to 1 health.
